It is now September 2012 and I\'m still getting excuses. Neighbors have also had a hard time with him.

Duane Gilpin of Gilpin Tree service of Holiday, FL received a downpayment of few hundred dollars to remove a tree from our property. They used some of the money (less than $50) to get of a tree removal permit and agreed to use the balance to pay toward the removal of the tree.
The tree was a large oak and we had some concerns when we also found out that his insurance had expired and that he possibly had an expired state license. Duane asked us to contribute additional monies toward the rental of a stump grinder which was included in the original agreement. At this juncture we decided not to use him because we felt we had erred in choosing him. We contacted him and told him that we were not going to have the tree removed.
He told us that he did not have the money to return to us. We told him that he could trim the smaller trees, etc. and do some yard work and we would accept that work in exchange for the money he owed us. He agreed.
Every two or three days since then we have called him and every call he states he will be coming "this afternoon", "tommorow", "Wednesday" etc.
As of this writing he still has not appeared. We feel that he is very dishonest and should be exposed so that other consumers will not use him.
